发展目标：

“城镇化”的基本内涵是农业社会向城市社会的转化。“城镇治理与规划”是城镇化的纲领，政治学、公共管理学、空间区域科学、城乡规划学、建筑学的交叉协同构成其理论基础。山东是沿海的重要省份，正在全面实施城镇化战略，但是山东城镇化存在许多重大问题。山东城镇化建设的现实，迫切要求山东各级政府提高决策水平，亦需要相关科研机构提供智力支持。

山东城镇治理与规划协同创新中心是一个跨学科、跨机构、人员结构合理、学术联系紧密的科研机构，有利于推动山东大学城镇治理与规划科研水平与整体实力的提高，同时扩大山东大学在该领域的国内外影响。根据山东城镇化实践的要求，协同创新中心确立了《山东“城镇治理与规划”十项重大科研项目》，以期助力山东城镇化的未来发展，给山东各级政府提供战略决策依据.

Development target:

The basic connotation of "urbanization" is the transformation from agricultural society to urban society.Urban governance and planning is the program of urbanization, and its theoretical foundation include political science, public management, spatial regional science, urban and rural planning and architecture. Shandong is an important coastal province which is fully implementing the strategy of urbanization. However, there are many major problems in Shandong's urbanization. The reality of Shandong's urbanization construction urgently requires governments at all levels to improve their decision-making ability and relevant scientific research institutions to provide intellectual support.

Collaborative Innovation Center for Urban Governance and Planning of Shandongis an interdisciplinary and academically linked scientific research institutionwith reasonable personnel structure.It is beneficial to improve the level of urban governance and planning research of Shandong University and at the same time expand the influence of Shandong University at home and abroad in this field. According to the requirements of Shandong urbanization practice,the Collaborative Innovation Center for Urban Governance and Planningestablished，in order to facilitate the future development of Shandong's urbanization and provide strategic decision-making basis for all levels of governments in Shandong.
